The Council is a coalition of private and public sector institutions, attempts to raise awareness about
what is needed to ensure long-term personal financial independence. ASEC's goal is to make saving and planning a
vital concern of Americans and in the economic interests of employers. There are a large amount of online tools,
including the ballpark estimate tool (calculates how much you need to save for retirement), the financial plan calculator,
and the retirement personality profiler. There are even retirement and savings tools for youth, as well as brochures and other information.
